Lower Section National Finals, Harrogate

Both the Development and Liaison Officers attended the Lower Section Finals in Harrogate over the weekend of 25th/26th September 2010. The interim Information Stand was taken which displayed the new banners, various Information Packs and fliers and a ‘live’ screen (connected to the internet) displaying the mad4bb website and twitter comments about mad4bb, featured bands and the event generally. The stand was well situated to target bands as they left the photography area and the organisers were very accommodating when they we asked if the stand could be moved to that area of the hall. The Information Stand created a great deal of interest and was well received by providing up-to-the-minute (and in some cases instantaneous) information. The weekend should be viewed as a resounding success; BFBB is already reaping the rewards through requests from bands regarding further information on membership and other services.
